Two narrators, one seen and one unseen, discuss possible connections between a series of paintings. The on-screen narrator walks through three-dimensional reproductions of each painting, featuring real people, sometimes moving, in an effort to explain the series' significance.

一位画家正在对着一位老者（浮士德）作画，可是画出来的确是一位少年。随着画家不停地摆动画笔，画中的少年也不断地变换着衣着和姿态。突然，少年活了并走出画布，走到了另一幅画里，马奈的《草地上的午餐》。整部作品充满了笔触的流动感，其变换也十分奇特，海浪变成麦浪，飞鸟变成波涛，游动的水鸟变成窗帘上的图案等等，就这样，观众跟随着画中的少年一步步向前走着。最后，少年穿过维米尔、马尔凯、马蒂斯、籍里柯、霍珀等画家的作品进入到西班牙画家委拉斯贵支的名画《宫娥》中，故事结束。其实这部作品隐喻的是歌德的作品《浮士德》：画家是魔鬼梅菲斯特，少年是返老还童的浮士德，少女是玛格丽特。

The documentary follows renown artist Cai Guo-Qiang through the production of new work for the Museo del Prado.

安哲罗普洛斯《希腊现代史三部曲》之一，使得他在国际影坛渐露头角。故事以1936年梅塔萨克将军在希腊开始实行专制独裁为背景，描写一个政治犯劫持来探访的议员，并以他作为人质来要挟政府。政府为了除掉这个麻烦，用尽各种手段，最后用狙击手把他击毙。 　　安哲用长镜头和360度摇移运动镜头的写实风格烘托渲染了当时令人窒息的社会氛围。讲述了一个关于政治压迫的寓言。有犯罪悬疑片成分的剧情把矛头指向迈塔克萨斯将军为总理的专制政权实行的严密控制人民思想的社会制度。
